Many of my Grade 6 students have asked how to access the games and activities we do in class from their home computers.
If you would like to practice or study at home (or if you're a parent and would like to do some review with your child at home), please check out some of these great online resources to make music even more fun!
www.reviewgamezone.com/games3/ants.php?test_id=19594&title=Notes%20On%20The%20Staff --> This game, Heroic Ants, is a favourite amongst students and helps practice note naming on the staff in the treble and bass clef. This is a great game to play in conjunction with this lesson (http://www.musictheory.net/lessons/10) in case you need some help figuring out those tricky ledger line questions! Please note that there is one question with an incorrect answer about sharps and flats in it. If you have answered it correctly and it insists that you are wrong, my apologies! I am hoping to have this error fixed soon.
www.musictheory.net/lessons --> Choose from many clear and well-explained lessons that elaborate on concepts we have learned about in class: rhtyhm, pitch, time signatures, etc.
www.musictechteacher.com/music_quizzes/music_quizzes.htm --> Choose from game-show style quizzes, sports-related games and more to help you practice reading notes on the staff, identify time signatures and more!
