Some other reminders:
1. A reminder of our upcoming weekend rehearsals:
Saturday, March 19: 10 am - 2 pm
Sunday, March 20: 11 am - 3 pm (costume parade)
Saturday, April 2: 9 am - 2 pm
Sunday, April 3: 10 am - 3 pm
It is essential that everyone is present at all of these rehearsals, especially the April 2 and 3 rehearsals. It is an opportunity for the cast to become comfortable with their costume and scene changes. We want our students to be comfortable with all aspects of the show so they can have fun and enjoy their performances.
2. Our full run-through with costumes, sound, lights etc. is happening on Tuesday, April 5th immediately after school. It will finish at 6:30pm. We ask that students bring a snack to have as we will not have time to have a full supper break.
3. Makeup:
Students should bring the following items with them by Saturday, April 2nd in a Ziploc bag with their full name on it:
- Foundation 1-2 shades darker than normal skin tone
- Pink or peach blush
- Brown or black eyeliner
- Neutral eyeshadow (grey or brown)
- Mascara
- Neutral lipstick (pink, brown)
Most of these items can be found at the Dollar Store or Wal-mart. Please do not feel obligated to spend money on these products. We don't mind our students sharing foundation but encourage them to bring and use their own eye makeup to avoid the risk of infection. Kleenex and wipes will be provided so that students may sanitize their makeup if they choose to share with another cast member.
We will store their makeup in a box at school until show time is over.
4. Hair:
Female characters: Curled and pulled back off of their face (Genie and Iago will have their hair done at the school)
Male characters: Hair pulled off of the face.
Students are encouraged to arrive with their hair already done or to bring a curling iron and hairspray with them to the school the days of the show.
5. Tickets are available for purchase at Read’s convenience downtown, at our school library or at the door the evening of the performance. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
6. Following our show on the 9th, we would love help from anyone who can stay behind. We will need to stack and put away chairs, sweep the mats, tear down the sets and tech equipment. This process goes very quickly when we have volunteers to help us out! If you are able to stay behind, we would greatly appreciate it.
7. Cast party: We plan to host a cast party at the school in late April/early May. Details will be on the Weebly and on the announcements later this month.
Thank you for your continued support!
